Directing

Television, feature film, short & stage.

Marc directed the BAFTA-nominated Channel 4 series Vids, the CBBC short Winning Streak (Silver Mboni, Kenya International Film Festival), and his debut feature Dark Nature — a thriller that won Best Director and Best Cinematography at the "Deffies", earned a BAFTA Best Director (New Talent) nomination, took a Cineworld theatrical release and went worldwide via Troma in New York.

His short films have travelled to Palm Springs, London Film Festival, Seattle, Paris, Seoul and Tokyo. On stage, his production of Love, Sex & Cider won an Edinburgh Fringe First and toured the UK from the Traverse to the Pleasance.

Writing

Screenplays that win rooms.

Marc's supernatural thriller Contorted Hazel was Winner of the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Forum at Edinburgh International Film Festival, optioned by studios including Sam Raimi's Ghost House Pictures, and continues to develop toward production with BAFTA-winning actors attached.

He was commissioned to adapt Nicholas Anderson's best-selling spy memoir NOC — Non Official Cover, and its sequel NOC Three Times, into The Judas Tree for feature and series. His feature script Manifest was a Screenplay Festival semi-finalist, and he continues to develop original and commissioned drama across feature, television and short formats.

Marc has also delivered script-writing courses and masterclasses for Scottish Screen, the University of Strathclyde, the Northern School of Art, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Strathclyde Theatre Group.
