Local democracy
Marc has been a Parish Councillor for many years and served as Chair of Egglescliffe & Eaglescliffe Parish Council — representing residents, stewarding local amenities and green spaces, and bringing the same listen-first, deliver-after ethic to civic life that he brings to a production.
It's hyper-local work, and that's the point: the credits and the consulting matter little if you can't also show up for the place you call home.

CICs & charities
Much of Marc's regional work deliberately reaches into communities the creative industries rarely touch — disability, neurodiversity, recovery, youth homelessness and community support.
Marc works with Iron Guidance, a community interest organisation supporting people toward stability, confidence and purpose — one of the partners woven into the "Forging Forward" early-days pathway into the creative sector.
Through Nova Mundi's workforce programmes, partners include charities representing disability, autism and neurodiversity, substance recovery, youth projects and community support — among them Daisy Chain, The Erb's Palsy Group, CornerHouse Youth Project, Change Grow Live and A Way Out.
Why this matters
As a proud neurodiverse and disabled individual, Marc champions underrepresented and diverse voices throughout his work — not as an add-on, but as the reason much of it exists. The creative sector can be a genuine route into stable, fulfilling work for people too often left outside it.
